Grounded: An Overnight Retreat to Slow Down, Unplug + Reconnect

Have you grounded yourself today? This is a question I don’t think we ask enough even though it is a potential solution to the modern multiple crises we are collectively facing.

For centuries, progress has led us to be disconnected from the land, our own bodies and the fellow beings we share this beautiful earth with. Sometimes this disconnection can feel too overwhelming to even consider a way out. With all our advances and progress, we have forgotten how to connect to the deeper, more primordial rhythms around and within us. The simple question of “have you grounded today?” is a profound starting point to reconnect with the land, our bodies and our fellow beings. The deep knowing of the importance of re-connecting planted the seed for a healing collaborative retreat.

At the intersection of where mind, body and spirit meet are these natural rhythms. This is the healing place where the three women who are hosting the Grounded retreat meet. Kristy Gungler of Earth Bird Wellness addresses the natural rhythms of our bodies through her offerings in yoga, ayurveda and forest bathing. Jen Phippen of Transform the Nest offers healing to the mind through her psychotherapy, breathwork and meditation practices. Carrie Templaski of Wilder Soul and Source Point Acupuncture offers acupuncture and quantum healing meditations as an offering for the innate power and connection of the spirit. Together, we are co-creating a nourishing experience as an invitation for deep healing.

The container for this retreat will be at the Sundance Trail Ranch in Red Feather Lakes, CO. The over 130 acres of pristine land will help all participants not only learn about grounding from a physical, mental and spiritual understanding but also experimentally through co-regulation with the environment. This is an opportunity to reconnect with the ranch, one another and ourselves. Besides being an idyllic and beautiful location to practice grounding, the land of Sundance also represents a rich history of strong and tenacious women. This land was once owned by Lady Moon, a strong and tenacious woman who was orphaned at the age of 12. She was born as Catherine Lawder and was a well known and often controversial woman who is woven into Fort Collins history.

This two day retreat will honor the history of the ranch and be packed with nourishing teachings to assist in our goal of getting our people grounded. The activities will include horseback riding (optional), forest bathing, breathwork, quantum healing meditations and most importantly a sense of community with other women looking to connect to the land, themselves and one another in a conscious and life affirming way.

We have looked at making the retreat affordable and meaningful and are offering monthly payment plans for the retreat. Three meals will be provided and rooms will be shared for a sense of deeper connection in the community we are creating. There will be a hand selected gift box with all kinds of nurturing goodies to help you ground as you return to your life.

Please reach out to any of the facilitators with any questions. The retreat is filling up fast and we are all looking forward to grounding together.
